Islamabad, Sep 10: The SAFF Under-17 Championship, Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) is having trouble getting a critical No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).
The PSB reportedly rejected the PFF’s current NOC application, citing procedural delays and lacking supporting evidence.
PFF had originally applied on August 22 for permission to hold the event, which is slated to begin on September 20 in Bhutan.
The PSB replied, letting the federation know that the application was received past the deadline and did not have the required approvals. In particular, the NOC lacked the Chairman of the PFF Normalization Committee’s (NC) signature, which is required by PSB regulations.
The PSB stressed in a formal correspondence that the Chairman’s signature alone would be sufficient and recommended the PFF to resubmit the application with the necessary supporting papers.
The Pakistan Under-17 football team is currently in a time-sensitive predicament as they continue their championship preparations at a training camp in Abbottabad.
