Islamabad, May 8, 2025: Paris St-Germain booked their second Champions League final in five years with a 2-1 win over Arsenal, securing a 3-1 aggregate victory.

Despite a high-tempo start by the visitors, PSG held firm, with goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma making several key saves early on to keep Arsenal at bay.

TThe French side absorbed early pressure and took the lead in the 27th minute as Fabian Ruiz capitalised on a defensive error to score his first Champions League goal.

Achraf Hakimi doubled the lead midway through the second half after combining neatly with substitute Ousmane Dembele.

Although Vitinha missed a penalty just minutes earlier, PSG remained composed and rarely looked in danger of losing control.

Arsenal, who were aiming for their first Champions League final appearance since 2006, managed to pull one back in the 76th minute through Bukayo Saka.

However, their hopes faded when the winger missed a golden opportunity shortly after, sending the ball over the crossbar from close range.

Luis Enrique’s side, who lost the final to Bayern Munich in 2020, displayed maturity and discipline, looking a far more unified unit this season.

Their efforts were bolstered by Donnarumma’s brilliance in goal, denying multiple attempts from Martinelli, Odegaard, and Saka.

PSG will now face Inter Milan in the final on 31 May in Munich. The Italian side reached the decider after edging out Barcelona 7-6 on aggregate in a thrilling semi-final.
