Islamabad, 11 May,2025: PSL 10 may soon resume, with Rawalpindi being considered the likely venue for the remaining eight matches, following a formal ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan.

Sources informed media that the league’s management has begun preparations to gather all six teams in Islamabad as plans for resumption take shape.

Franchise officials have reportedly been asked to keep overseas players stationed in Dubai, while local players have been instructed to stay ready for potential matches in the coming days.

Rawalpindi, known for its secure stadium facilities, has emerged as the frontrunner to host the concluding phase of the tournament.

This progress follows a decision by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to suspend the league indefinitely.

The suspension came after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif advised the board to pause the tournament in light of heightened regional tensions and what was described as “reckless aggression” from India.

The Prime Minister emphasised the need for national focus on the country’s armed forces amid rising hostilities.

The PSL was halted during a crucial phase, with only eight matches left before the playoffs. After 27 games, Quetta Gladiators top the table with six wins and have already secured a playoff spot.

Karachi Kings are second with five wins from eight matches, while defending champions Islamabad United follow closely in third with ten points from nine games.

Lahore Qalandars are placed fourth with nine points, Peshawar Zalmi stand fifth with eight, and Multan Sultans sit at the bottom of the table, eliminated from playoff contention after a disappointing campaign with only one win in nine matches.

If the situation continues to stabilise, fans may soon see the remaining matches played under tightened security, bringing the tournament to a timely and safe conclusion.
