The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has completed its latest Quality of Service (QoS) survey for fixed-line broadband services.

Conducted across 34 major cities, including Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJ&K) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), the survey aimed to assess network performance and ensure users receive reliable, high-quality internet. This fixed-line broadband survey covered the third quarter of 2025.

The survey results show that most Broadband Service Providers (BSPs) generally met key performance indicators (KPIs) like Network Availability, Jitter, and Network Latency for both local and international segments. However, the report also highlighted significant performance challenges. High bandwidth use during peak hours led to congestion and slower internet speeds, directly impacting user experience.

The PTA noted elevated latency in both local and international network segments, suggesting potential issues with routing and backbone inefficiencies.

In response to these findings, the PTA has instructed all concerned operators to take corrective measures. The goal is to improve the quality of service and enhance network reliability nationwide. The full survey results for Q3 2025 are available on the PTA’s official website.
