The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has published the revised draft FSS license after reviewing feedback from stakeholders during the February 2025 consultation.
PTA stated that all submissions were carefully examined, and necessary changes were made in line with the Telecom Act, existing policies, and regulatory standards. The updated PTA revised draft FSS license is now available on the Authority’s website until September 19, 2025, for further review.
Once the review period ends, the final license will be issued online following formal approval. Meanwhile, PTA also rejected reports of a telecom sector data breach, clarifying that subscriber information remains with licensed operators, not the Authority. Initial checks showed the leaked data came from external sources.
