Islamabad, 2 June, 2025: Staff Over Degree Verification has become a pressing concern for Pakistan Television (PTV) as the network’s administration issues a final warning to all staff members.
Whether employed on a permanent, temporary, or professional basis, every individual working under the PTV umbrella has now been instructed to verify their academic qualifications through the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Despite a clearly communicated deadline of January 31, 2025, a large number of employees have failed to comply with the directive.

In light of this negligence, the PTV management has now set a one-week grace period to submit HEC-attested degree copies warning that non-compliance will result in serious consequences.

According to an official statement from PTV’s administrative department, employees who do not fulfill the verification requirement within the specified period may face strict disciplinary measures, which could include suspension or even termination of employment.
The warning reiterates that the degree verification process is a fundamental institutional obligation under current legal regulations.

The organization’s Director of Administration has explicitly instructed all centers nationwide to begin immediate compliance, emphasizing that no further extensions will be granted.

The administration has clarified that degree authentication is a legal necessity, aimed at maintaining transparency and ensuring only qualified personnel remain in service.
All PTV centers have been directed to report their implementation status, and those failing to enforce the new policy may also face accountability.
