Islamabad, June 10, 2025: Provincial Minister for Transport and Mass Transit, Bilal Akbar Khan, revealed plans to introduce 26 electric buses to Attock, as per the guidelines of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

These modern buses will feature air-conditioning and Wi-Fi, ensuring a more comfortable and convenient journey for passengers at a reduced fare.

The minister made this announcement during a meeting in Attock, which included key local officials such as, Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza and Secretary RTA Sardar Zaheer Ahmed Khan. He stressed the need to ensure proper facilities at bus terminals and directed strict action against transporters involved in overloading or overcharging.

During his visit to the General Bus Stand, Khan inspect the fares, particularly in light of Eid-ul-Adha. Passengers confirmed that fares were in line with government official rates. He praised the efforts of the District Transport Authority for enforcing fare regulations and ensuring adherence to the rules.
