Punjab Board and other educational boards have today declared that the matriculation supplementary (second annual) examinations will be postponed. The tests will be started on the 29th of September rather than on the 10th of September.
The date sheet was not issued before. Because of floods and incessant rains in most areas of Punjab the exams have been delayed by some three weeks. In the days ahead a new date sheet shall be released.
According to the officials of educational boards of Punjab, the decision to delay the exams was made considering the flood situation. The delay is applicable to all exams of Lahore Board and other Punjab boards.

In the past, students who were waiting to take the second annual matric examinations had been waiting to receive the date sheet and roll number slips. The boards had not published date sheets and roll number slips because of the uncertainty that had arisen due to floods. Having announced the new exam date today, the wait is over and the wait to get roll numbers slips shall soon come to an end too.
Board officials have added that now the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairman will complete the date sheet according to the new schedule. Once the date sheet is given, students will be given roll number slips.
