Islamabad, Mar 12, 2025: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has unveiled a series of transformative measures designed to reshape the province’s education sector.
The CM aims to enhance school education efficiency through the launch of the CM Education Card, while students who secure over 80% marks will receive the CM Eminence/Star Card in recognition of their academic excellence.
During a high-level school education review meeting, the CM revealed that outsourcing schools had significantly increased student admissions by 52% and boosted teacher recruitment by 89%.
Under the Public-School Reorganization Program, student enrollment has increased from 242,000 to 368,000, while the teaching staff has grown from 8,037 to 15,114.
Furthermore, educators’ salaries have tripled, and classroom facilities, including desks and chairs, have expanded from 371,000 to 523,000 units.

The government plans to establish advanced Schools of Eminence in every tehsil of Punjab, ensuring high-quality education is accessible to all.
