The Punjab government has approved a College Teaching Interns (CTI) Program worth Rs. 4.217 billion to support over 8,000 young teachers across the province.

Under this new initiative, college teaching interns will be appointed on a monthly stipend ranging from Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 65,000.

As per the plan, interns teaching at the intermediate level will receive Rs. 55,000 per month, while those working at the BS level will be paid Rs. 65,000. The internship period has been set at seven months for intermediate classes and ten months for BS programs.

Upon completion of their tenure, all selected college teaching interns will be awarded experience certificates. The program also ensures inclusivity, reserving 404 seats for minorities, 243 for persons with disabilities and 40 for the transgender community.
