Comprehensive measures have been taken by Punjab government to facilitate participants of the annual Tablighi Ijtima in Raiwind.
The Lahore Highway Division has completed patchwork and maintenance of key roads leading to the Tablighi Markaz and surrounding areas, ensuring smooth traffic flow and the safety of visitors.
According to a briefing presented to the Chief Minister on Tuesday, a total of 13 development projects worth Rs. 5.68 billion have been completed, covering nearly 70 kilometers of road infrastructure.
Through a transparent tendering process, the Punjab government achieved savings of around Rs. 600 million.
Officials noted that four major connecting roads in Raiwind have undergone extensive repairs, including pothole filling, shoulder restoration, and fresh road markings, giving the routes a renewed and improved appearance before the congregation.
The briefing highlighted that patchwork and lane marking on Sundar–Raiwind Road up to Ijtima Chowk have been completed, while full rehabilitation has been carried out on Mian Ji Abdullah Road and a 2-kilometer section from Sundar to Markaz.

Additionally, an 11-kilometer stretch from Pajian Bypass to Bachoki Phatak and a 2.5-kilometer section of Railway Road have been reconstructed to facilitate smooth travel for visitors.
These 13 infrastructure projects have significantly enhanced access routes for thousands of participants arriving for the annual congregation.
Development work has been completed in record time across Manga Mandi, Lake City, Sue Asal, Jia Baga, Sundar, Mian Ji Abdullah Road, Pajian Bypass, and Railway Road, ensuring convenience, safety, and an improved travel experience for all.
