Islamabad, June 20, 2025: The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has taken a groundbreaking step towards modernizing road safety and driver training across the province. In a strategic move to enhance public service through innovation, the Punjab Traffic Police has rolled out advanced driving simulators in key training centers.
Under the dynamic supervision of Additional IG Traffic, Mirza Farhan Baig, this initiative aims to reshape conventional driving instruction with cutting-edge technology. The first phase has already seen the successful deployment of Punjab Driving Simulators in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, and Gujrat.
“These simulators are designed to provide safe, realistic, and high-quality training experiences for aspiring drivers,” stated Additional IG Baig. “They not only improve technical driving skills but also reduce on-road risks by preparing drivers in a controlled environment.”
A notable feature of this program is its inclusive approach. The new simulator facilities are especially empowering for women, offering a secure and supportive space to build driving confidence before hitting the roads. In the upcoming second phase, hands-on training will be expanded to real traffic conditions in more cities, making driver education more accessible and comprehensive.
