Punjab floods have forced authorities to move around 999,000 people to safer places, Relief Commissioner Nabeel Javed said on Monday. He added that nearly 780,000 animals were also rescued during ongoing relief and rescue operations.
According to Javed, the provincial government has set up 395 relief camps, 392 medical camps and 336 veterinary camps across Punjab to handle the crisis.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported that more than 2.4 million people and about 3,200 villages have been affected by the heavy flooding in the Ravi, Sutlej and Chenab rivers.
