PFA Director General Muhammad Asim Javaid stated that teams found serious unhygienic conditions, including poor storage, rusty utensils, insect infestations, and absence of workers’ medical certificates. He added that food items were being prepared on broken, dirty floors, directly violating food safety laws.
He further revealed that the confiscated milk and meat were intended for supply in Lahore and warned that the use of substandard and contaminated ingredients poses a severe risk to public health.
Director General Javaid emphasized that the PFA is committed to ensuring all stages of food handling, from preparation to delivery, adhere to international safety standards.
