Islamabad, Dec 22: The application made by private school owners to host winter camps in schools across Punjab has been denied by the Secretary of Schools Education, Khalid Nazeer Wattoo.
Details indicate that private school owners applied for permission to organize winter camps in order to make up for unplanned holidays and complete the unfinished curriculum. However, their application was rejected.
If private school owners continue to host winter camps during school breaks, they will face severe disciplinary action, according to the Secretary of Education.
He went on to say that students need winter breaks to help them relax mentally. He said that teachers could finish their unfinished lessons by having extra classes.
An updated winter break notice was already published by the Punjab Education Department on December 19, 2024. A new notice says that the winter break will begin on December 23 instead of December 20.
According to the revised schedule, classes will resume on January 13 and the winter break will last until January 10. These changes are part of a new notice that the department sent out.
