Islamabad, Mar 8, 2025: Punjab’s Minister for Labour, Sports, and Youth Affairs, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar, has unveiled significant improvements to the Chief Minister Internship Programme.
The monthly stipend is set to increase from Rs 25,000 to Rs 60,000, while the number of available internship positions will expand from 6,000 to 10,000.
Additionally, the program’s duration will extend from six months to a full year in the next phase.
Officials made these announcements during a Progress Review Session at the E-Library and Youth Centre, Nishtar Park Sports Complex (NPSC), on Thursday.
Key attendees included Additional Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Mian Usman Ali, DG e-Governance PITB Sajid Latif, Director Admin Dr. M. Kaleem, and Director Youth Affairs Syed Umair Hasan, along with supervisors and focal persons of the internship program.
A large number of male and female internees were also present.
While addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar stressed the importance of resolving youth-related concerns.
He announced the establishment of a dedicated complaint cell at the NPSC e-Library to ensure prompt issue resolution.

The minister also acknowledged the efforts of Additional Secretary Sports Mian Usman Ali, DG e-Governance PITB Sajid Latif, and other officials by presenting them with appreciation souvenirs.
In a reciprocal gesture, Mian Usman Ali also honored Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar for his contributions.
The upgraded Chief Minister Internship Programme aims to provide young professionals with more extensive training opportunities and financial support, empowering them for future career prospects.
