Under the directive of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the construction and repair of protective embankments in flood-affected areas have been completed in record time.

In the outskirts of Muzaffargarh, the construction and repair of the Nooraja Bhutta embankment have been finalized, with gaps caused by floods now fully repaired. The 1,960-foot-long protective embankment has been completed, and the 1,250-foot-long breach on Nooraja Bhutta embankment has been filled, transforming it into a 3,450-foot-long strengthened protective barrier.

Additionally, on the Dera Motorway side at Hafiz Wala, 23,000 feet of distributary track construction and repair have been completed, and gaps totaling 410 feet on two roads have been repaired.

Work on filling gaps across 33,700 feet in flood-affected areas is now over 80% complete, with the remaining repairs expected to finish soon.

Furthermore, repairs on a 283-foot breach on the Fourth Canal have also been successfully completed.
