Islamabad, Mar 26, 2025: The Punjab government has officially announced extended Eid-ul-Fitr holidays for students across the province.
According to Secretary School Education Khalid Nazir Wattoo, all schools under the School Education Department will remain closed from March 28 to April 6, with classes resuming on April 7.
Additionally, the new academic year will begin on April 7, while annual exam results are set to be announced on April 4, ensuring a smooth transition for students into the next academic session.

Meanwhile, the Higher Education Department has also issued a notification regarding public holidays for colleges.
As per the announcement, all public and private colleges under its jurisdiction will observe holidays from March 28 to April 2.
However, it is important to note that examinations scheduled by the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) across Punjab will continue as per their notified timetable.
This decision allows students, teachers, and staff to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with their families while ensuring that the academic calendar remains intact.
