The Punjab government has taken urgent steps after flour mills refused to provide subsidized flour. The provincial authorities have decided to take strict action against hoarding to tackle the situation and to ensure stable supply of flour and wheat across the province.
According to official sources, price control magistrates have been ordered to immediately act against those stockpiling wheat and flour. The step aims to keep the flour market steady and stop any artificial shortage.
The government has also tasked the Para Force to check wheat hoarding and strictly enforce the ban on using wheat in feed mills. This move is meant to safeguard the flour supply chain and keep daily use items affordable for the public.
