Smog has taken a permanent hold in Lahore, and the district administration has decided to adopt the same strategy used in 2023 to control it. Markets in Lahore will now close at 10 PM from Monday to Saturday.
In view of the smog situation, the previously decided business timings will be strictly enforced. To curb smog and air pollution, full implementation of the September 2023 notification will be ensured.
Markets will close at 10 PM from Monday to Saturday, while on Sundays the business hours will be from 2 PM to 10 PM. Restaurants and cafés must close at 11 PM, however, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, they will be allowed to remain open until 12 AM. Home delivery services will be allowed until 2 AM.
Medical stores, tandoors, milk shops, hospitals, laboratories, petrol pumps, and puncture shops will be exempt from these restrictions.
