Islamabad, Oct 31: Punjab ‘Green Lockdown’ Targets Lahore Smog Crisis
In a fresh attempt to reduce the increasing pollution, the Punjab government announced a “green lockdown” on Wednesday in many important parts of Lahore.
The goal of this action is to alleviate the extreme pollution levels that have interfered with day-to-day activities.
Several areas, including Davis Road, Kashmir Road, Egerton Road, Durand Road, Abbott Road (from Shimla Pahari to Gulistan Cinema), Empress Road (from Shimla Pahari to Railway Headquarters), Queen Road, and Allama Iqbal Road, are under lockdown, according to a government-issued notification.
