Islamabad, July 28, 2025: The Punjab government has started a new step to improve transport in the Sargodha division by launching an electric green bus service.

This new system will offer cheap and environment-friendly travel for the public, making movement easier and cleaner.

Khalid Mahmood, Secretary of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA), said that 48 electric buses will begin running in the first stage. Out of these, 12 buses will run in Khushab, while 6 each will be used in Mianwali and Bhakkar. The new service will start on August 14.

As a part of this plan, “senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and students will be able to travel for free.” Mahmood shared hope that this move will help improve the public transport system and support green travel across the cities.

This electric green bus service in Sargodha is expected to bring comfort and relief to people in the area.
