Islamabad, Aug 2, 2025: In a groundbreaking move to combat air pollution, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has declared the installation and assembly of the world’s first AI-powered anti-smog guns in Lahore.
This state-of-the-art mechanism features 15 sophisticated Anti-Smog Guns are specially built to curb dangerous air particles.
These powerful fog sprayers release a fine water mist into the air aimed at trapping harmful pollutants such as PM2.5 and PM10. The mist merges with these airborne elements, causing them to fall to the ground, thereby enhancing air purity in crowded city zones.
The Anti-Smog Guns are set to be placed at various points across Lahore and linked to Punjab’s live air quality tracking system. Moreover, these devices will switch on automatically whenever pollution levels rise, using input gathered from satellites, drones and artificial intelligence-based tools.
