Islamabad, May 23, 2025: In a landmark development for Punjab’s urban infrastructure, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif officially opened the Nawaz Sharif Flyover in Sargodha on Thursday.

This ambitious project, the largest infrastructure venture in the city’s history, promises to transform local transportation and regional connectivity dramatically.

Stretching over 1.3 kilometers, the flyover was impressively completed in just eight months—a construction speed rarely seen in the region. This rapid execution sets a new benchmark in Punjab’s infrastructure projects, showcasing efficient planning and execution.

During the inauguration, CM Maryam Nawaz personally inspected the flyover, commending the high standards of construction and engineering quality. Provincial Minister Sohaib Ahmad Bharth detailed the extensive scope of the project, highlighting its critical role in enhancing transportation infrastructure not only within Sargodha but also benefiting neighboring districts such as Bhakkar, Khushab, and Mianwali.
