Islamabad, 11 June 2025: Rs10bn Tractor Boost is expected as Punjab’s upcoming 2025–26 budget outlines a substantial package to revitalize the agriculture sector.

According to informed sources, a proposal to allocate Rs10 billion under the Chief Minister’s Tractor Scheme has been finalised.

Additionally, Rs5.5 billion is set aside for the second phase of the Green Tractor Programme, which aims to expand affordable access to modern agricultural machinery for small and medium-scale farmers across the province.

In a broader push to enhance rural productivity, the budget blueprint also includes Rs750 million for the reconstruction and maintenance of Lahore’s Agriculture House.

Meanwhile, a three-year initiative has been proposed to improve mango yields in Punjab a key fruit export.

The programme suggests an annual allocation of Rs750 million. Furthermore, Rs500 million has been earmarked for the Punjab Clean Air Programme, supported by World Bank funding, to combat agricultural emissions and promote sustainable practices.
