Islamabad, Mar 27, 2025: The Punjab School Education Department has officially released a notification regarding the modification of school hours, which will be enforced following the Eidul Fitr holidays.
Updated School Timings
As per the revised schedule, effective from April 7 until October 15, school timings will be as follows:
Single-shift schools: Classes will begin at 8:00 AM and conclude at 1:30 PM. However, on Fridays, schools will close at 12:00 PM.
Double-shift schools:
The morning shift will operate from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, with Friday sessions ending at 12:00 PM.
The afternoon shift will commence at 1:00 PM and continue until 5:30 PM. On Fridays, this session will start at 2:30 PM.
Eid Holidays and Examination Schedule
The Punjab government has also declared an official holiday period for Eidul Fitr, spanning from March 28 (Friday) to April 6 (Sunday). Regular classes will resume on April 7.
Additionally, the results of the annual examinations will be announced on April 4, giving students and parents insight into their academic standing before the new session begins.

The Secretary of the School Education Department confirmed this update, emphasizing that the extended holiday break will allow both students and teachers to celebrate Eid with their families and return rejuvenated for the upcoming academic term.
College Closure Notification
In a separate announcement, the Punjab Higher Education Department has issued a notice regarding the Eid holidays for colleges.
As per the directive, all public and private colleges in the province will remain closed from March 28 (Friday) to April 2 (Wednesday).
