Islamabad, June 11, 2025: The Punjab Environment Protection Department has decided to take significant measures toward improving vehicle emissions testing across the province. As part of this initiative, dedicated Green Sticker Booths will be installed along the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway, announced Imran Hamid Sheikh, Director General of Environment Punjab.
Monitoring booths will also be set up at all key motorway interchanges connected to Lahore, including Babu Sabu, Thokar Niaz Baig, Ravi Toll Plaza, and Kala Shah Kaku. These checkpoints aim to identify and halt vehicles without Green Stickers from entering the motorway, according to department spokesperson Sajid Bashir.
The initiative is designed to conduct on-the-spot vehicle emission tests, after which approved vehicles will be issued Green Stickers on-site. These stickers certify that the vehicle meets the required environmental standards.
