Education authorities have decided to remove inexperienced and untrained supervisory staff from duties during intermediate and matriculation examinations, it emerged on Friday.
Officials said teachers assigned examination monitoring duties will undergo mandatory training, and only those who successfully complete the training course will be eligible to serve as invigilators. The trained supervisory staff will be paid up to Rs. 5,000 per day for examination duty.
It was noted that more than 10,000 teachers are typically deployed each year for monitoring duties during both annual exams.
