Islamabad, June 6, 2025: In a significant move towards eco-friendly public transport, the Punjab government has approved the purchase of 600 electric buses to serve various cities throughout the province.

Following the successful rollout of electric buses in Lahore, the authorities plan to extend the green initiative to other major urban centres including Multan, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Gujranwala, and Gujrat.

This expansion is expected to help reduce vehicle congestion and atmospheric pollution, offering citizens a safer, cleaner, and more efficient means of travel that meets international quality standards.
