Eligibility for the program will include students scoring above 65% in public universities and colleges. Scholarships for students in their third and fourth years of study will further ease financial barriers, ensuring education remains accessible.
However, In her address, the Chief Minister acknowledged the rising influence of tools like ChatGPT among students, emphasizing the importance of integrating technology into academics. She highlighted the need to reinvigorate academic research, a critical area where Pakistan has lagged. “While countries like China are introducing AI concepts to fifth graders, we must shift from outdated narratives to a future-focused educational model,” she urged.
This initiative aligns with the government’s broader vision to cultivate a tech-savvy generation capable of driving progress. By investing in AI education and supporting students with innovative programs, Punjab is not only advancing individual opportunities but also positioning itself as a hub for technological development in Pakistan.
