Punjab government employees and pensioners will receive their salaries and pensions early this month, bringing relief to thousands ahead of the weekend.
The Punjab Finance Department has announced that October salaries and pensions will be disbursed on Friday, 31 October 2025.
The notification explained that since 1 and 2 November fall on Saturday and Sunday, which are public holidays, the early payment ensures timely distribution. This step will help employees and pensioners avoid delays caused by the weekend.
A circular signed by Section Officer (FR) Muhammad Younis instructed the Accountant General Punjab and all district accounts officers to complete salary and pension payments by 31 October. The notice has also been sent to all administrative secretaries, commissioners, deputy commissioners, and heads of subordinate departments.

In addition, the decision has been communicated to the offices of the Registrar of Lahore High Court, district and session judges, and the offices of the Governor and Chief Minister.
This announcement brings financial relief and allows government employees and pensioners to plan their expenses without worry, making October’s payment schedule unusually convenient.
