Islamabad, 14 June 2025: Budget for FY2025, The Government of Punjab is finalizing a substantial financial blueprint for the upcoming fiscal year, with the total volume of the Budget for FY2025 expected to approach Rs. 6.5 trillion, according to senior officials in the provincial finance department.
As per estimates, Punjab is projected to receive approximately Rs. 4.076 trillion under the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award, forming the backbone of its fiscal resources. In addition, the province anticipates total internal revenues of around Rs. 1.05 trillion, which will include both tax and non-tax income streams.

From this internal revenue, tax receipts are expected to yield nearly Rs. 510 billion, while non-tax revenues are projected at Rs. 540 billion, finance insiders reported.
The remaining funds required to balance the provincial budget will be sourced through capital receipts, direct federal transfers, and other miscellaneous avenues.
The Planning and Development Department has already completed the final draft of the Budget for FY2025, placing a major emphasis on public development schemes.
A record-high Rs. 1.202 trillion has been earmarked for the Annual Development Programme (ADP), targeting multiple sectors crucial to public welfare and infrastructure.

The development budget will be funded through a mix of Rs. 892.78 billion in local funding and Rs. 184.49 billion in foreign aid, with an additional Rs. 124.73 billion allocated for various other special development initiatives.
