Islamabad, Apr 4, 2025: The Punjab government has unveiled plans to launch ‘Sahulat-on-the-Go Bazaars’ across the province.
This initiative, approved by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz during a meeting on Thursday, will initially be rolled out at 14 locations in Lahore.
A detailed action plan for the pilot phase, set to be completed within four months, has been instructed by the Chief Minister.
The bazaars will be set up on government-owned land beside roads, with the first phase in Lahore featuring 816 stalls.

Key locations for the pilot include Multan Road, Hanjarwal, Manga Mandi, Raiwind, G-1 Market, Faisal Town, Moon Market, Bedian Road, E-Millat Road, Gulshan-i-Ravi, Shahdara, Shadman, and Singhpura.
Each ‘Sahulat-on-the-Go Bazaar’ will be designed with uniform, cottage-style shops offering a variety of food and essential products. Special efforts will be made to maintain high standards of cleanliness and security.
The project is expected to gradually expand to every tehsil across Punjab.
During the meeting, Muhammad Afzal Khokhar, Chairman of the Punjab Model Bazaar Management Company, provided a report on the bazaar model to the Chief Minister.
