Islamabad, Nov 27: PWD Requests Additional Rs 135 Million for Repairs of Government Flats in G-8. To finish repairing and renovating government apartments and buildings in Sector G-8, Islamabad, the Pakistan Public Works Department (PWD) has requested an extra Rs 135 million.
According to a department official who spoke to APP, the PWD has partially finished the repairs and renovations in G-8; the project won’t be finished until the necessary finances are available.
After the money is received, the remaining tasks should be finished in six months. According to him, the scope of the renovations includes painting every apartment both inside and out, replacing deteriorated shutters, repairing bathrooms with all required fixtures, replacing glass panes, and applying roof treatment.
In response to a query, the representative stated that the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) is vigorously pursuing illegal commercial usage of residential properties in Islamabad’s Sectors G-13 and G-14. According to the official, property owners involved in unlawful commercial activity within residential areas have previously received letters from the administration.
He stated that the FGEHA has pledged to prosecute property owners who engage in the illegal commercial use of residential buildings in these sectors in accordance with the Islamabad Capital Territory Building Control Regulation 2020.
