Islamabad, Aug 22: A medical issue on board caused a flight from Qatar to land in Karachi on its way to Nepal. A passenger on flight QR 652, which was traveling from Qatar to Nepal, reportedly became seriously unwell when the plane was above Pakistani territory. After that, the pilot made an emergency landing request to Karachi Air Traffic Control (ATC).
Following the directions of the air traffic controller, the pilot diverted aircraft QR 652 from Sukkur to Karachi. At 8:15 AM, the flight touched down at Jinnah International Airport, where a medical crew attended to the sick passenger.
A few weeks ago, a passenger on an Oman Airlines flight from Muscat to Kerala experienced a heart attack in midair, forcing the aircraft to make an emergency landing at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.
The pilot asked Karachi Air Traffic Control (ATC) for permission to make an emergency landing. The plane touched down at Jinnah International Airport after being given the all-clear, and a medical crew took the passenger right away to a hospital in Karachi.
