Islamabad, Mar 12, 2025 – Rajasthan Royals head coach Rahul Dravid is set to rejoin the team’s preparatory camp in Jaipur on Wednesday, following a brief recovery period from an injury sustained last week.
As per media reports, Dravid, a former Royals captain, suffered an injury to his left leg while playing club cricket with his son in Bengaluru.
The incident led to a short rehabilitation phase, delaying his arrival at the team’s camp. However, sources close to the franchise confirmed that he is now fit to resume his coaching duties.
Having played for Rajasthan Royals from 2011 to 2015, the legendary batter transitioned into a coaching role with the franchise in 2014 and has been serving RR ever since.
The Royals’ management expressed confidence in his leadership, emphasizing that his presence would be instrumental in strategizing for the tournament.
The franchise, on its official X handle, wrote, “Head Coach Rahul Dravid, who picked up an injury while playing cricket in Bengaluru, is recovering well and will join us today in Jaipur.”
With his extensive experience as both a player and a coach, Dravid remains a key figure in the team’s campaign for the upcoming edition of the high-profile franchise league.
The Rajasthan Royals’ training sessions are already underway in Jaipur, with players focusing on fitness and match simulations in preparation for the tournament.
The return of the former Indian captain is expected to bring further intensity to the camp as the Royals gear up for the season, which begins on March 22.
