Islamabad, Mar 3, 2025: Up to three inches of snow have blanketed Murree, as per the spokesperson of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
Further precipitation, including rain and snowfall, is anticipated over the next 24 hours, the PDMA representative reported.
Utilizing advanced equipment, authorities are actively clearing snow from the main roads, stated the Director General (DG) of PDMA.
Essential machinery and personnel have been stationed along key routes and high-traffic areas in Murree, confirmed DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia.
Currently, all major roads in Murree remain open to traffic, according to the DG PDMA.
Punjab’s Relief Commissioner, Nabeel Javed, has instructed local authorities in Murree to maintain a state of readiness.
The administration must exercise diligence and ensure there are no lapses in their response, emphasized Punjab Relief Commissioner, Nabeel Javed.
