The Meteorological Department has predicted strong winds, thunderstorms, rainfall, and snowfall in different parts of the country, increasing the chances of the first significant winter rains in upper regions along with snowfall on the mountains.
According to PDMA, rainfall is expected in most districts of Punjab from this evening. The Meteorological Department has also forecast rain in Lahore and surrounding areas within the next 24 hours, which may result in a temporary reduction in air pollution.
Today, the maximum temperature is expected to remain 31°C and the minimum 17°C, while wind speed is recorded at 17 km/h and humidity at 73 percent.
Karachi has ranked fifth among the most polluted cities in the world. The weather in Karachi will remain hot and dry during the day, while slight coolness will be felt in the mornings and nights. According to the Meteorological Department, a slight decrease in temperature is expected in the coming days.
During the day, the sun’s heat will remain intense, and the overall weather will be hot and dry. Today, the maximum temperature is expected to range between 34°C and 36°C, while the current temperature is recorded at 21°C. Humidity is at 60 percent, and winds are blowing from the north at a speed of 11 km/h.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has forecast cloudy weather along with thunderstorms, rainfall, and snowfall in the upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern Punjab, Potohar region, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir.
Hailstorms may also occur at a few places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern Punjab, and the Potohar region, while the weather in central and southern parts of the country is expected to remain dry.
The department has warned of possible snowfall and landslides in mountainous upper regions, and that hailstorms and thunderstorms may damage weak infrastructure.
Rainfall with thunder is expected in Islamabad and surrounding areas, as well as in Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Mangla, Chakwal, Talagang, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, Lahore, Narowal, Kasur, Sheikhupura, and nearby regions.
Rain is also expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malam Jabba, Kalam, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Mansehra, Haripur, Battagram, Kohistan, Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Bajaur, Khyber, Orakzai, and Kurram, while a few areas of Waziristan may also receive thunderstorms and heavy winds.

Most districts of Sindh and Balochistan are expected to remain cold and dry. In Gilgit-Baltistan, thunderstorms with rain are expected, while in Azad Kashmir, thunderstorms with rainfall and snowfall on the mountains have been forecast.
