Islamabad, Feb 12: Sahulat bazaars will be established at model bazaars across the region to provide essential food items to consumers at wholesale prices during the upcoming month of Ramazan. The initiative aims to ease the financial burden on the public by offering a variety of edible goods at discounted rates, including fruits, vegetables, and staple items such as potatoes, onions, tomatoes, ginger, lemons, bananas, apples, dates, guavas, wheat flour, sugar, chicken, eggs, daal chana, and basen.

Deputy Commissioner, Capt (retd) Nadeem Nasir, chaired a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the arrangements for the Sahulat Centre. He announced that the initiative would commence from the 25th of Shaban-ul-Moazzam and continue through to the 29th of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak. The deputy commissioner directed the relevant authorities to ensure that all necessary arrangements were in place to facilitate the smooth operation of the bazaars and to provide relief to the consumers during the holy month of Ramazan.
