Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has committed to reinvigorating sports in Pakistan, aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision.
In his role, Rana, also overseeing the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC), chaired a high-level meeting in Islamabad to strategize the revitalization of sports in educational institutions.
Attended by Federal Secretary IPC Nadeem Irshad Kayani, Federal Secretary for Education Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, and senior officials from all provinces, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, the meeting focused on enhancing sports infrastructure at the school level.
Rana stressed the importance of nurturing sports talent from grassroots to international levels and instructed the collaboration to compile data on sports infrastructure in schools nationwide.
Once the data is gathered, it will facilitate the establishment of benchmarks to gauge the status of sports in schools, enabling targeted efforts to uplift sports to international standards, Rana emphasized.
