Afghan spinner, Rashid Khan enhanced his record as the greatest ever T20 bowler in history with a spectacular performance in Sharjah that made Afghanistan win over UAE in the continuing tri-nation series. His skills with the ball had seen to it that he was the top wicket-taker in T20 internationals, surpassing New Zealand’s Tim Southee.
The leg-spinner bagged three wickets on the night and became the first to pass Southee on 164 wickets and hit 165 in only 98 matches. Even more impressive is the fact that his rate of economy of 6.07 was miserly in comparison to the 8.00 of Southee. Rashid is also 26 years old but has also made history in the world with 664 wickets in 489 T20 matches, which may not be surpassed in the coming years considering the amount of cricket he still completes in various parts of the world.
The other prominent entries in the list are Ish Sodhi (150 wickets) and Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh (149 wickets). Haris Rauf is the highest ranking bowler in this elite team in Pakistan, and currently he ranks 11th with 124 wickets.
