Islamabad, June 14, 2025: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has canceled the History of Islam paper for HSSC Part-I after students raised objections about out-of-syllabus questions.
Many candidates from different examination centers highlighted that the questions in paper are not from the officially issued syllabus. This led to immediate concerns among students and invigilators alike. On receiving alerts from examination staff during the paper, the Rawalpindi board promptly opted to cancel the exam in order to safeguard students’ academic standing.
As per Rawalpindi Board representative Arslan Cheema, the cancellation was a necessary step to ensure transparency and uphold the integrity of the examination process.
The revised date for the Islamic History paper has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 17, during the morning session. The exam will take place at the same centers, and students will appear under their original roll numbers.

All students are advised to arrive on time at their assigned centres and are asked to carry their roll number slips with them.
While the board’s quick response has been generally appreciated by examinees, the issue has once again brought to light concerns regarding the quality of paper setting and compliance to the outlined syllabus.
