Islamabad, Aug 15, 2025: The Rawalpindi Metro Bus service has been partially closed today (Friday) due to Chehlum processions taking place in the city.

Officials from the Metro Bus administration stated that travel between Saddar Station and Faizabad will remain suspended for the day on the district administration’s orders. This temporary closure is part of security measures for the Chehlum of the martyrs of Karbala.

Authorities confirmed that the Islamabad section of the Metro — running from IJP to Pak Secretariat — is operating as usual. Passengers dependent on the Rawalpindi route have been advised to arrange alternate transport options.
