Islamabad, July 29, 2025: Benjamin Sesko sparks a Premier League bidding war as Manchester United make a late move to hijack Newcastle’s 80M euros striker deal.
Benjamin Sesko, the young striker from Slovenia currently playing for RB Leipzig, is at the center of a major transfer battle this summer. Manchester United and Newcastle United are pushing hard to sign him, with reports suggesting that he is seriously considering his next move. Newcastle was believed to have reached a verbal agreement with Sesko for a long-term deal but nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have stepped in and are now in direct contact with the player’s camp. Some sources say Sesko is impressed by United’s project and could be leaning toward them instead. Despite earlier interest from clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea, the focus has now narrowed to these two Premier League rivals.
Newcastle are still seen as the favourites in the betting markets but Man United’s recent push has made the race tighter. The transfer fee is expected to be around 70 to 80 million euros if a deal goes through, possibly under a gentleman’s agreement between Leipzig and Sesko. Talks are ongoing and both clubs are working to convince him quickly.

A final decision is expected within days as both teams want to lock in their forward options before the new season begins. Sesko’s choice could have a big impact not only on his career but also on the attacking strategies of whichever club signs him.
