The move aims to prioritize public safety amid adverse weather conditions. Officials stressed that these measures are part of broader precautionary steps being taken across the country as monsoon activity continues to affect multiple regions.

The forecast also indicates that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will face widespread rain and thunderstorms, while torrential downpours could trigger flash floods in streams and nullahs in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, and Galliyat during the same period.

Authorities have advised the public to refrain from visiting the affected areas and to closely monitor updates from the PMD and local administration to ensure safety.

The closure will remain in effect until the weather improves, with officials reviewing the situation continuously to reopen trails once conditions are deemed safe for hikers.
