Islamabad, Mar 3, 2025: For Muslims who observe fasting during Ramadan and understand the deep spiritual significance of Itikaf, an important announcement has been made.
The General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques in Saudi Arabia has confirmed that registration for Itikaf at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah will officially open on March 5.
According to reports from the Saudi Gazette, the registration process will begin at 11 AM (local time) on Wednesday and will continue until all available slots are filled.
Those wishing to participate can apply through the authority’s official website, where permits will be issued based on specific criteria set by the relevant authorities.
Itikaf is a deeply revered religious practice observed in the last ten days of Ramadan, during which worshippers isolate themselves in a mosque, dedicating their time to prayer, supplication, and reflection.
This year, Itikaf will commence on Ramadan 20 (March 20) and will continue until the end of the sacred month. Following the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), Itikaf provides an unparalleled opportunity for spiritual rejuvenation.
