Islamabad, July 16, 2025: Reham Khan, Imran Khan ex-wife on Tuesday launched a new political party called the Pakistan Republic Party and unveiled its official logo. The party focus is to give a voice to women, farmers, and other underrepresented groups.
But the buzz following the announcement wasn’t about Reham Khan political debut, it was the party’s logo that caused a stir on social media.
Social media users quickly noticed that the PRP’s logo has an uncanny resemblance to the logo of the United States Department of Homeland Security. Within hours, netizens began posting side-by-side comparisons, questioning whether the logo was inspired or simply plagiarised.
Abdul Jabbar Nasir, a journalist from Karachi, shared his take in a Facebook post: “Reham Khan, former wife of former prime minister Imran Khan, has announced her political party named the Pakistan Republic Party. It seems the logo was either designed in haste or simply copy-pasted. From the US Department of Homeland Security to the Pakistan Republic Party (#PRP), it’s the same monogram.”

Another user on X (formerly Twitter) chimed in with similar thoughts, writing: “Reham Khan may have rushed the design of the Pakistan Republic Party’s monogram, which is perhaps why it looks exactly like the one used by the US Homeland Security.”
As the debate over design originality heated up online, the Pakistan Republic Party visual identity became the center of attention overshadowing its political debut.
