Remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis increased by 7 percent year-on-year (YoY) to $3.13 billion during August 2025 compared to $2.94 billion during August 2024, according to latest data by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, remittances were down by 2 percent in August 2025 compared to inflows of $3.21 billion reported in July 2025.

A breakdown of the numbers shows that the highest inflows were registered from Saudi Arabia, coming in at $737 million, followed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at $643 million, the United Kingdom (UK) at $463 million, European Union (EU) countries at $433 million, and the United States (US) at $267 million.
