Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan visited Theme Park View Society where he met flood-affected families and assured them that their losses would be compensated. The society has been badly hit by flooding, leaving many residents struggling to return to normal life.
During his visit, the Governor promised special support including dowries for daughters of affected families, in addition to financial compensation for damaged homes and belongings. He said the government was committed to ensuring that no family was left behind in the recovery process.
Despite these assurances, residents voiced their frustrations. Many complained that water drainage had not been properly managed, leaving parts of their homes still submerged. Some even reported water levels rising as high as 12 feet, making daily life unbearable.
