Islamabad, May 28, 2025: Lucknow Super Giants skipper Rishabh Pant lit up the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on May 27 with a dazzling hundred in his team’s final fixture of the 2025 Indian Premier League. Taking apart the Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowling attack, Pant brought up his second century of the season in just 54 balls.
Bought by LSG for a record-breaking sum of 27 crore during the mega auction earlier this year, Pant had a largely forgettable campaign. Struggling to find form throughout most of the tournament, the left-hander revived his rhythm at the perfect time, reminding fans and critics alike of his immense talent with a brilliant innings against a strong RCB side that was eyeing a top-two finish.

Rishabh Pant hit included 10 fours and 6 maximums, his only second score over fifty this season. It stood out as one of his most commanding IPL performances in recent memory. Before this, his last century in the tournament came in 2018, when he smashed an unbeaten 128 against SunRisers Hyderabad, still the highest individual score by any Delhi Capitals player.

Following his century on Tuesday, Pant marked the moment with an athletic backflip. The celebration seemed to deliver a powerful message: despite a rough patch, he still has plenty of magic left in him.
